Having grown up in the South East of England, I started playing football (soccer) at a young age and fell in love with the game. I was fortunate to play for my local teams throughout the early stages and trials with local league teams gave me a greater experience and understanding of what it would be like to play at a higher level. I had the opportunity to play for some great coaches who I have learnt a lot from, not only in my playing style but also in the way that I coach. Seeing the impact these coaches had on the players to help them learn and grow to love the game stood out to me.. After injuring my knee, I decided this was a route I wanted to take and I have not looked back since.
Having set a company up in Essex, England I worked with young players aged 6-16 in helping them enhance their individual skill and love of the game. I spent time working in a school planning Physical Education sessions and after school soccer sessions which helped the company to grow rapidly over the years. Our love of the game and passion for helping children develop was a big drive behind our success.
I moved to Alberta Canada in 2012 for a new challenge, which is were Total Football Training Academy was born.

Confidence
TFTA prides itself on building the confidence of each player we work with. We understand that each child has a different character and different confidence level, in knowing this we are able to recognize the individual needs of each player to help them grow and have fun in a way that suits them.

Positivity
This is key to our coaching delivery across every session we offer. The environment in which we set our session in is based around encouraging players and offering praise as often as we can to enthuse them to want to achieve greater goals.

In keeping with a positive, fun and safe learning environment, our players can develop their individual/team skill set in a way that helps them build character as a person, i.e Honesty, Hard Work, Respect (for themselves and others), Listening, Puzzle Solving, Fair Play, Teamwork, Endurance...
